Healthcare is a Right
Let's Make it Policy
State-level universal healthcare as a step toward Medicare for All
My ultimate goal is simple: Medicare for All, which I believe is the best way to control costs, including preventive care that heads off illness before it becomes severe and costly to treat, better mental health care before reaching a crisis, and healthier living guidance. No one should have to worry about being denied coverage or risking debt for treatment.
Medicare for All Act (H.R.3069).
If Medicare for All isn’t yet achievable, I support facilitating willing states to set up universal healthcare for their residents.
State-Based Universal Health Care Act of 2025 (S.2286/H.R.4406).
Extend ACA Subsidies and Restore Medicaid
We can achieve healthcare for all. But The Big Billionaire Bill, which Brian Fitzpatrick could have stopped but didn’t, caused devastating increases in costs for millions of Americans. We must act immediately to repair the damage on behalf of families and seniors that rely upon these vital programs.
Create a National Standard for Reproductive Freedom
Everyone in this country must have the freedom to decide what happens to their own bodies, and the right to choose should not change from state to state. Therefore I support a federally protected national standard similar to Roe, as proposed in the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2025.
Restore VA Funding Levels
The PACT Act of 2022 was most known for extending healthcare to Veterans with toxic exposure, but it also allocated more resources to build up the workforce and facilities of the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a result, important services improved considerably. However, recent cuts and subsequent downsizing are negatively affecting the quality of care. We need to restore VA funding levels and workforce capacity.
